A Friday morning in Lido
The arrival of autumn always recharges my energy, so, exactly like I did one year ago, I'm taking you for a walk in Lido, between the shore and the lagoon.
Instead than going straight to the market, once off the vaporetto, I reached the beach and took the right.
The sky was so beautiful and the temperature perfect. There is something magical about the first days of September, the sudden drop of temperature, the light, the perfumes, the colors. Everything.
I exited from the beach at the height of the Palazzo del Casinò, where the Film Festival is taking place this week, and reached Riva di Corinto for the Friday Farmer's market.
I bought some greens from the Vignole stall and some bread and jam from Tarcisio.
Then I went for another short walk while waiting for my father.
Dad likes to take his time, whereas I am always early... so I returned to the beach passing by the area of the Film Festival until I got to the foot of Murazzi, the stone beach.
I wanted to stop at the public library Hugo Pratt, which I think has the best view ever, over the lagoon and the Lido's riding school.
Just next to the library there is a bunker-like construction. It's not pretty, it looks like a concrete half-sphere with three steps, which reminds me of outdoor theatre seatings. Anyway, sometimes Vito and I go there for a private picnic with a view, as it is always very peaceful.
The sight of the horses, so calm, and the soft light that accompanied me during the morning filled me with happiness, as I know that this was just the first of my autumnal excursions.
The following day, I baked the pumpkin and made a nice cake. But first, of course, I took some pictures. Here they are, I hope you like them.
