Finding Inspiration: a still life story
Where I find myself and my inspiration

Just a normal Tuesday morning at the end of October. The air is fresh and the light too beautiful, so I hop on a vaporetto at San Zaccaria and go straight to Lido.
I quickly cross the Gran Viale and head to the beach, entering through the structure called Blue Moon.

Only few people and a couple of tractors moving sand to create dunes to isolate the private beach huts.
The sound of the sea.

Me, walking. On the left, the signs shaped as houses and trains that serve as reference point for the children. On the right, along the shore, a woman walking her beautiful German shepherd.
Further on, a man fishing.

When I reach the foot of the pier, I dod't know whether to go for a long walk up to the lighthouse or get lost around the dunes to pick flowers. In the end, I go for the second option. Right now, the colour of many plants is starting to fade into a gold/brown shade, and it is too beautiful to witness the change of seasons.
Under such a bucolic sky, I walk through the bushes and, as usual, my shoes and socks get covered in thorny prickles and filled with fine sand.

I stop to remove the prickles at the end of a path, before entering the pinewood for one last walk in nature, and to move to a completely different range of colours, with a lot of green tones and a variety of pines.

When I exit from the pinewood, I hear the buzzing of some bees, so I turn my head and see this marvel of Nature.
One in particular was quite still, too busy eating to bother with me.

On my way back, I stop at the green grocer in Via Lepanto and buy some apples, pears, radicchio and potatoes. The following morning, I felt relaxed and produced the images below, with the fruits and some of the seaweeds and leaves I brought home from my escape.
I would love to know what you think and where you find inspiration :) Looking forward to your comments and tips!
With Love, Nicoletta
